It is a very common myth among photography beginners that photography needs a big camera and a lot of accessories. At the beginning of your photography career, you do not need too many things. Let us look at the 5 most basic camera kit essentials for photography beginners.

You can start photography with very basic equipment and do the job equally well as that of a professional photographer. You have to be smart at choosing what to buy as a photography beginner. In this post, we will see some budget-friendly gears for photography that you must-have to start with. You can do even without some of them. But I would advise you to not skip them as they are equally important as that of the camera or the lenses.

Here, I have gathered the basic gear requirements as a beginner that you can buy. Most of them are what I used when I was starting off. They are affordable and helped me learn a lot of things about photography. Here are those 5 most important gears you need in your camera kit as a beginner.

1. DSLR Camera

A DSLR Camera is the heart and soul of photography. The most important of them all. For beginners by suggestion would be to go for a crop sensor camera body. It helps you learn the framing of the scene better. You can go with full-frame cameras too but honestly as a beginner our goal is to stay budget-friendly and make the most out of what we already have.

Check out our suggestions: Canon 1500D, Nikon D3500, Sony A6000

2. kit lens

A great lens is like those beautiful eyes. The better the lens, the clearer, sharper, and smoother your shooting experience would be.

Check out our suggestion: Canon kit lens 18-55 efs, 55- 250 efs(this kit lens comes with the cameras) If u want to buy an extra lens you can go with 35mm 1.8 lens or 50mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.4 is the best lens for portrait photography.

3. Tripod

The camera is a heavy gear. Not everyone knows how to balance it while they are starting to use it. For capturing a completely still photograph, a tripod is a must. Tripod is not as pricey as it seems. There are a lot of cheaper options available in the market. I have listed some down here. It helps to take steady shots and it is very useful for night photography, slow shutter photography, etc. Do not skip this one.

Our suggestion: Digitech Tripod, simplex, Manfrotto

4. Reflectors

5. Flashguns

Photography is the play of light. Indian weather conditions are never accurate for photography. As a beginner, we often tend to not know while capturing how the lights would affect the actual imagery. To avoid this, it is suggested to use flash whenever possible. A flashgun and triggers are very useful. These are a one-time investment. You can pair them with any camera body or mount them with different devices.

Our suggestion: Flashgun for beginners, godox flash gun for sony, nikon, canon
